I've just been re-reading the Vorkosigan series - for my and everybody elses reference:
Reading (and chronological) order for Lois McMaster-Bujold's addictive Vorkosigan series:
- Falling Free
- Shards of Honor
- Barrayar
- The Warrior's Apprentice
- The Vor Game
- Mountains Of Mourning (short story - see below)
- Ethan Of Athos
- Labyrinth (short story - see below)
- Cetaganda
- Brothers In Arms
- Borders Of Infinity - 3 short stories
- Mountains Of Mourning
- Labyrinth
- Borders Of Infinity
- Mirror Dance
- Memory
- Komarr
- A Civil Campaign
- Winterfair Gifts (Short Story - appears in "Irresistible Forces", a collection of short stories by different authoresses)
- Diplomatic Immunity
One of the few series that has successfully withstood the tests of time - I first read these books at least half a decade ago. Though some sections are very .. trying, all the books are worth the read :)
She's also written a fantasy series (Chalion), which IMNSHO is much better written without all the obvious plot holes that pepper some of the Vorkosigan books.
Good author(ess) - highly recommend :)
