Was stuck yesterday with two subtitle (.srt) files and just the one avi. Searched high and low for something to either join the two files or offset the times in the second file appropriately, and finally ended here, a perl script that did the trick admirably. So to show my appreciation and help increase his google rank here's a nice shiny link back to his/her site :D

Hey buddy i have .srt file for a movie but it seems like most of the player dont support .srt on the other hand i hve 2 .sub file but i want single sub file i tried using vobsub to join these two but shows an error plz help me joining it.plzplzplzplzplzplz
The VLC player has inbuilt
The VLC player has inbuilt support for .srt, .sub and other formats. .sub is a binary format (it isn't text based like .srt) and generally joining them is a chore. However, for all your subtitle needs, you can try Urusoft's Subtitle Workshop. It's muy excellent.
